We take great pride in being the very first institution in the country to focus solely on providing comprehensive basketball coaching education tailored to the unique needs of teenage students with ambitions of pursuing careers as basketball coaches. Our institution stands apart as the sole establishment with a complete staff specifically equipped to offer targeted support for the training and growth of youth basketball coaches.
We not only offer excellent training for our students to prepare them for taking the whistle, but we are also connected with over 320 colleges and universities across the country, as well as all private school organizations in all 50 states. These connections place our graduates in front of employers who can provide them with job opportunities. What's more, our graduates are able to secure jobs while attending college, regardless of their majors. Over the last 15 years, we have created a pathway for our students to succeed.
Our basketball coaching program is structured as a cohort-based course, wherein a group of students, referred to as a cohort, advance through the program collectively. The cohort commences and concludes the program simultaneously, and all students within the cohort attend their classes together.
Our educators employ the latest educational training techniques to actively involve our students in the learning process. Our classrooms are specifically designed to promote active learning and engagement through collaborative group work. It's important to note that laptops are not provided in these specialized learning spaces to encourage interaction and face-to-face communication among the students.
Our unique training includes out-of-classroom experiences for our students. Students will attend field trips to professional, college, and high school basketball games. Research shows that this kind of active, experiential learning supports creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding, which helps students become well-rounded coaches.
The school has adopted experiential learning as a cornerstone of its mission to "Educate the Whole Student" and recognizes the inherent value in teaching within this model. Not every lesson every day employs the entire model, but the quality and depth of learning, not to mention student engagement, is clearly enhanced by the practice.
